Public Exhibition on Proposals for Keybridge Phase 2

“I am writing to invite to you to a public exhibition of the proposals for Phase 2 of the Keybridge, development located on the west side of South Lambeth Road in Vauxhall.
Mount Anvil and FABRICA by A2Dominion (‘the Partners’) are currently on site delivering Phase 1 of the Keybridge redevelopment. Phase 1 has been designed by Allies & Morrison and will provide:

  • 470 high quality new homes;
  • Approximately 9,000 sqm commercial floorspace; and,
  • 1 acre of public open space for the benefit of the local community

Additionally, Mount Anvil launched their National Skills Academy for Construction (NSAfC) in 2016. Based at Keybridge, the NSAfC will provide 100 apprenticeships, work placements and work experience positions and 500 learning opportunities for charitable trusts, local schools and colleges over a 3-year period.

Keybridge Phase 2

The existing planning permission for the Keybridge development includes outline permission for a new 2 form of entry (FE) primary school. This parcel of land for the primary school is now referred to as ‘Keybridge Phase 2’ and is located off Wyvil Road. The planning permission requires ownership of the Phase 2 land to be gifted to the London Borough of Lambeth.
The London Borough of Lambeth’s Investment and Growth team, supported by Wyvil Primary School, approached the Partners to explore delivery options for expanding the existing school on the adjacent Keybridge site. The proposals coming forward now form the final phase of the Keybridge development and will enable Wyvil Primary to become a 4 form of entry (FE) school.

The plans will create 360 new school places in the process, helping meet an identified need for school places within the Vauxhall, Nine Elms and Battersea Opportunity Area and spaces within the new campus will be available for community use. The delivery of new homes on the site will contribute towards the cost of building the school. The development will also enable the expansion of the NSAfC, delivering training and learning opportunities for young Londoners.

As a neighbouring ward member we would like to invite you to view these proposals at a public exhibition where members of the project team will be able to talk through the plans and answer any questions you may have.

The exhibition will take place at Wyvil Primary School, 80 South Lambeth Road, London, SW8 1QU on:

  • Wednesday 21st June from 4pm – 8pm
  • Saturday 2th 4 June from 10am – 2pm

We will consider all feedback received before a planning application is submitted to the London Borough of Lambeth later in the year.

We hope to see you at the exhibition however if you are unable to attend we would be happy to brief you separately. We would be grateful if you could contact the consultation team by email keybridgephase2@londoncommunications.co.uk or telephone on 020 7612 8480.

You can also find out more about the proposals on the website:keybridgeproject.mountanvil.com/phase2consultation.
