Lambeth’s film location fame

This is an update on the success of the Lambeth Film Office in this area.  It has done excellent work since the introduction of the new service in 2013, not only increasing income generated and donations to residents but in raising the profile of Lambeth as well.   In 2011-12, Lambeth’s annual gross revenue from filming totalled £89,630.  In 2014-15, this had grown to £274,252 and, so far in 2015-16, this is at £307,311 with one quarter left (we hope to reach £375K by the end of the year.”

Lambeth Film Office encourages film companies to give donations to local residents groups or charities, as a gesture of thanks to the community.  Since May 2013, a total of £119,114 has been given to local groups, local charities and training schemes by film companies.

Some highlights include donations to local groups from the recent BBC TV hit London Spy and Lambeth trainees working on the latest James Bond film Spectre.  There is a resident facing website with details of recent shoots and useful information for residents and film
