Filming for James Bond Movie, Spectre

 – in case you were wondering about the recent night time helicopter action …

“Residents may already have received a letter from the company responsible for the filming in Vauxhall/Kennington for the new James Bond movie, Spectre.  For those who have not, the text reads as follows:

“Dear Sir/Madam, firstly I would like to thank you for your support for the filming so far, without your patience none of this would be possible and the footage looks amazing.  We did our best to complete the filming last weekend, but due to the early morning rain we have some footage still to shoot. We are therefore writing to all residents to inform them that we need to return to Westminster one last time on Sunday 21st June to film two helicopters between 20.00 and midnight.

Sunday 21st June – Filming from 19.00 until 05.00. All helicopter flights finished by midnight.  Filming over the river Thames between Vauxhall and Westminster Bridge with two helicopters between 20.00 and 05.00.  Westminster Bridge will have short traffic and pedestrian holds during filming from 21.00.  Vauxhall Bridge will have its North pavement closed to pedestrians from 19.00 until 05.00. The South pavement and traffic will not be affected.  All flights will be conducted with the permission of the Civil Aviation Authority and by Flying Pictures Ltd, the licensed helicopter operators who specialise in filming of this nature.
