We’ve worked with local residents and businesses to develop this document and it paints a clear picture of Vauxhall in 10 years’ time as a lively riverside town centre with a proper high street. It promotes change and growth as an opportunity to tackle long standing issues, such as high unemployment, poor health and choice of homes. We’ve listened to all your comments and suggestions so far and we’d like to know what you think.
Please have a look at our website for further details about all the ways you can discuss the plan and give your views www.lambeth.gov.uk/vauxhallspd. The website will be kept up to date with the latest consultation information and all consultation materials, including the draft document and supporting information.
The consultation on the draft document will officially commence on Wednesday 17 October and run till 5pm on Monday 26 November 2012 – comments and completed questionnaires must be received by then.
Please do encourage people you know to get involved and pass the information on via your networks if you can. There are posters and flyers available too, please contact Anna on the details below to get these.
Funding Lambeth’s infrastructure requirements
We are also consulting on our initial ideas for a charge on new development in the borough to pay towards essential infrastructure, like schools, transport and parks. Full details can be found on www.lambeth.gov.uk/CIL and the deadline for comments is 9 November 2012.
