Robbery at gunpoint – update

People may have been very concerned to hear about the use of a gun in a recent mugging in Bonningston Sq, and without wanting to diminish the seriousness of the incident we have asked Neighbourhood Watch to clarify the situation.

Karen Hunn, Neighbourhood Watch Manager of the Met Police says: “I can confirm that the incident was reported to the police and that the victims have the crime reference number.   There was no gun seen and the investigation is ongoing.”

VV has been informed by the Police that operations are ongoing and we have seen an increased police presence including a CCTV van in the area. VV is fully aware of the recent incidents and is liaising with all the relevant organisations including the police and council, regarding such issues as street lighting etc.
